Tonia Barrier, MSN, RN, CHPN, CLHP 
has contributed to the nursing profession for over seventeen years.  She has served in various post-acute care roles, including Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care, and is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in hospice and palliative care.  Her previous roles include a wide range of responsibilities, from direct bedside nursing to the leadership of multiple teams. She is a Certified Lean Healthcare Professional (CLHP) and a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) with a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management (MSN). Her extensive experience in post-acute care, including eight years in leadership with one of the largest organizations in the hospice industry, offers a unique degree of insight as a Post-Acute Care Lean Management Consultant & Clinical Education Consultant.

History
Beginning her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2004, Tonia has served in a variety of post-acute care roles throughout her career.  She obtained her Associate of Science in Nursing degree and Registered Nurse license in 2011.  Then, later advanced her education by completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2015 before completing her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management degree in 2016.
